Due to ongoing issues and overall poor condition of WPIV valve Confires recommends the following: Remove existing 6" WPIV from service including the NRS valve in the building downstream of the detector check. After removal of WPIV and NRS valve Confires will install a new 6" OS&Y valve in its place and will install a new OS&Y tamper. This will bring the control valve inside the building and is also compliant with NFPA standards. Customer will be responsible for patching wall where WPIV is and new tamper to be wired by others.
